Miami Entrepreneur Dead After Crash Involving Boat and Personal Watercraft

A Miami entrepreneur died in a boating collision near Miami Beach on Sunday.

MSN.com reports that on Sunday 42-year-old Aaron Hirschhorn went for an excursion on his hoverboard. His wife became concerned after he did not return her communications and posted an urgent message on Instagram asking the couple’s friends in Miami Beach to contact her immediately.

At about 1 p.m. Sunday the U.S. Coast Guard was notified of a boating accident involving a 38-foot boat and a personal watercraft that had collided in the Meloy Channel. Hirschhorn was involved in the collision and was severely injured. He died at the scene.

Following news of the tragedy, Hirschhorn’s wife again posted on Instagram, saying that her husband of 10 years had died and that the family is broken and will never be the same.

Aaron Hirschhorn had been involved in various business ventures including DogVacay, which was eventually acquired by a competitor and turned into a billion-dollar company.
