Five Years Later Victim’s Family Continues To Search for Hit-and-Run Driver

Despite five years passing since a hit-and-run driver killed Emma Kelsoe and her dog, her loved ones continue to search for her killer.

Local10.com reports that 80-year-old Kelsoe was killed during the early evening hours on February 1, 2017, when she stopped to talk to a neighbor in the Davie mobile home park where she lived. Suddenly, a speeding driver careened near them and struck Kelsoe at the intersection of Southwest 18th Street and 86th Avenue after Kelsoe reportedly pushed her neighbor out of the way.

A video recording of the vehicle used in the crash showed it speeding off after the collision.

Now, authorities have a $27,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

Kelose’s family continues to celebrate her life. “She was an amazing person,” said her granddaughter Lisa Huber.
