Fiery Crash Leaves One Dead and One Injured in Miami-Dade

A serious crash left one person dead, and one person injured on the Dolphin Expressway Saturday.

Local10.com reports that the crash occurred at about 7 a.m. on Saturday morning in the westbound lanes of State Road 836. The Florida Highway Patrol says that a black Hyundai was going the wrong way on the Dolphin Expressway and collided head-on with a Nissan.

The powerful impact caused at least one of the vehicles to burst into flames.

The crash killed the driver of the Nissan. Authorities transported the driver of the Hyundai to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

There has been no word as to the surviving victim’s current condition.
