Driver Dead After Sunrise Red Light Crash

A motorist is dead following a crash at a stoplight in Sunrise, Florida early Friday.

Local10.com reports that the crash occurred at the intersection of Northwest 136th Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard when a Lexus SUV collided with a silver Nissan.

According to police the Lexus was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran into the Nissan, which was at the stoplight.

The crash killed the driver of the Nissan, and first responders transported the driver and the passenger of the Lexus to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Sunrise police continue to investigate the crash.
