Car Crashes into Miami-Dade Assisted Living Facility Leaving 2 Hospitalized

A car slammed into a Miami-Dade assisted living facility on Monday, resulting in two people being hospitalized.

WSVN.com reports that the crash occurred at about 11:45 a.m. when two vehicles crashed near 400 block of Northwest 101st Street, in the vicinity of an assisted living facility.

The force of the crash caused one of the vehicles to slam into the garage of the facility.

According to a witness, the collision with the home was extremely violent. “We just heard a really loud explosion. It was really, really loud. I heard some screaming, ran outside, seen the accident,” said witness Marcel Anderson “It was smoking. It was really hot,” he added.

In all, two people were injured in the crash, and the damage to the house was so significant that it was declared unsafe for habitation.
