The U.S. Coast Guard medically evacuated a woman from a cruise ship yesterday, after the woman suffered a head injury while aboard the ship.

The 80-year old victim was rescued from the Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship at about 9:15 p.m. yesterday as the vessel sailed about 55 miles east of the coast of Savannah, Georgia. She reportedly suffered a fall, resulting in a head injury which required urgent medical attention.
