A serious chain reaction vehicle crash on I-275 in St. Petersburg left one person dead and two people injured this week. Now, the driver of the vehicle that began the series of crashes has been arrested and is facing felony charges.

WTSP.com reports that the crash occurred at about 6:00 p.m. when four cars were stopped in traffic, two in the center lane and two in the outside lane. Another driver, Bryant Haney, apparently crashed into one of the vehicles in the center lane, causing a chain of crashes.

One of the drivers involved in the series of crashes was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment where he died. Two other drivers suffered minor injuries.
