News: Multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Boca Raton kills 1, injures 2

BOCA RATON, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said three vehicles were involved in a deadly crash on Interstate 95 in Boca Raton Saturday morning, the Palm Beach Post reports.

The FHP said the incident began when a sedan tried to change lanes in front of a tractor-trailer on I-95 south near Glades Road at about 11:25 a.m.

The tractor-trailer collided with the sedan, then was redirected and sideswiped a van before crashing into a concrete barrier. A 63-year-old Miami man who was a passenger in the tractor-trailer was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.   A woman and a man who were passengers in the sedan sustained minor injuries. None of the three drivers involved were injured.

Lanes were closed for hours on I-95 while the crash scene was being cleared.
