News: Tesla crashes into Road Ranger’s truck on I-95, leaving 3 injured

MIAMI, FL –  A crash involving a Tesla and a Road Ranger’s truck in northwest Miami-Dade Wednesday morning sent three people to area hospitals.

WPLG reports the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Northwest 103rd Street.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Road Rangers were responding to a previous crash in the left express lane of I-95 at about 5:15 a.m. when their truck was hit by a northbound black Tesla.

The driver of the Tesla suffered injuries that were reported to be severe but not life-threatening.  That person was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Two Road Rangers in the truck sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and were transported to Jackson North Medical Center.

The FHP stated that the Road Ranger had the proper traffic cones, emergency lighting and arrow board activated for the lane closure.
