MIAMI, FL - Police are trying to track down the driver involved in a crash in Miami Sunday morning, WSVN reports.

The collision took place on U.S. 1 south near Southwest 17th Avenue at about 6 a.m.

Police said a box truck delivering frozen foods was rear-ended by a Kia traveling south. The impact caused the Kia to jump a curb, crash under an overpass, and catch fire.

The occupants of the Kia got out and fled the scene on foot, police said.  The driver of the box truck was not injured.

The car fire was extinguished by Miami Fire Rescue crews.

Anyone with information on the incident or the driver involved was asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
