DAVIE, FL - Emergency crews and the Florida Highway Patrol were on the scene of a tractor-trailer accident in Davie Monday morning that caused a fuel spill on the roadway.

WSVN reports the vehicle jackknifed in the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 near U.S. 441 at about 10:20 a.m.

Officials said the incident resulted in a leak of about 80 gallons of fuel. The highway was shut down in the area while crews worked on the cleanup efforts.
