Man Killed by Mercedes in Hit-and-Run Crash in Miami-Dade

A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Miami-Dade on Saturday.

Local10.com reports that a witness says that the victim had been looking at products at the Miami Gun Show in University Park when he crossed Coral Way as cars were coming.

The witness’s car braked and avoided the man, while another car, going perhaps 50 to 60 miles per hour, struck the man. Instead of stopping and staying at the scene, as is required by Florida law, the Mercedes that struck the man “swerved around, and just took off,” says the witness.

The witness says that the car that struck the man was a white two-door Mercedes with tinted windows. Police added that the vehicle is a 2015-2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and is expected to have significant damage to the front end due to the collision. The vehicle is missing a passenger-side mirror cover.
