FORT PIERCE, FL - Officials are investigating after a man was killed in a boating accident Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce, reports WPTV.
The victim was identified as 65-year-old David Michael Klein of Kattskill Bay, New York.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. in the Intracoastal Waterway at Faber Cove. Klein was on a 23-foot Key West boat when he was thrown into the water.
Klein was pulled from the waterway by a group of commercial fishermen and was pronounced dead at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
The FWC is trying to determine what led to the incident.
