Two people were seriously injured in a crash involving a school bus in Holmes County on Tuesday.
WJHG.com reports that the crash occurred in the vicinity of State Road 2 near Copperhead Lane when the bus stopped to pick up students on State Road 2. Troopers with Florida Highway Patrol say that while the bus was stopped with its stop signals activated, a 42-year-old Westville woman crashed into the back of the bus.
The vehicle’s driver and a 6-year-old girl in the vehicle were both seriously injured in the crash and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. A 13-year-old boy who was riding in the vehicle with the victims was not harmed.
The students aboard the school bus at the time of the collision also escaped injury, while the bus driver suffered minor injuries.
